four letter word for... wait, ryan what does quaff mean ?!

My morning started not so well until I got to work and checked my email. Jennifer (my sister in law) emailed me a sweet note and pictures of my girls!

Ooo I miss my girls so much! I miss the whole family. Lately more than ever, my friends are asking me to come back, to please come back, things will be different. It makes me feel wanted and missed, but then it creates a big complicated mess. Now in my mind I'm toying with the idea of do I want to stay here or go back? I'm sure I'll be here in Utah for at least a long while... but the thought of going home lingers.

It's another 17 hour day today. I'm not looking forward to it, but then again... I am. Weird huh? I guess I just can't get over my jobs. I love them. And the people I work with at the diner are so amazing, it makes work so great. Sometimes I after my shift, (well into 3 or 4 a.m. sometimes) I like to just sit at the bar at the front of the diner and chat with them. We have a regular, Ryan, who is just an amazing middle aged man who comes in around 10 pm and stays until sometimes 5 in the morning. We all just talk and pick at each others' brains. I love it. It's intelligent conversation. Sometimes we will all try our hands at a crossword puzzle or word jumble. It's me, Pete (the amazing graveyard shift manager), James (the graveyard cook), Villa or Jes, Ryan, and Rachel (who just got moved to a management position to the diner on 72nd, so she comes in after work and unwinds).

The point of my rambling on is that I do love my jobs. I think they are a great building block for me, I just complain sometimes (a lot of the time) I guess because I just get exhausted and overwhelmed.
